Limerick and Clare Local Creative Youth Partnership (LCYP)

Limerick and Clare Local Creative Youth Partnership (LCYP), hosted by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, works to enable collaboration that increases opportunities for children and young people to access, experience, and enjoy being creative.

Creativity is a human right and we place the voice of children and young people at the centre of our work.

Operating primarily in youth and community settings, we collaborate with creative practitioners, cultural organisations, youth services, schools, early learning and childcare settings, higher and further education providers, Family Resource Centres, and community organisations across Limerick and Clare.

Together, we create accessible creative opportunities that complement formal education, strengthen communities, and enable children and young people to explore and develop their creative potential.

Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board

Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board is the state education and training authority for the Limerick and Clare region in Ireland. It is one of 16 statutory regional education authorities established by the Education and Training Boards Act 2013. It was created following the amalgamation of three Vocational Education Committees, which provided post-primary, adult and community education in Limerick City, County Limerick, and County Clare since 1902. The authority was established on 1st July 2013 and assumed responsibility from SOLAS of two former Training Centres in Raheen, Limerick and Shannon, Co. Clare on 1st July 2014.
