Equine Assisted Therapy – Equine Assisted therapy is a non-riding process with some horseback work & some groundwork. Our groups interact with horses to develop their personal awareness, teamwork, and communication skills amongst others. Children gain increased resilience and life skills with lower levels of anxiety and stress. Play & Creative Arts Therapy supports: Helping children cope with distress and make sense of their lives using play and the creative arts.

Our mission is to empower individuals and families with a welcoming open door to supports and services, responding to community needs and challenging inequality. Our Activities Include: • Supporting vulnerable groups such as those experiencing rural isolation, women, carers, men, older people, parents, children, LGBTI+ community and youth. • Raising awareness and providing support in relation to issues including Disability, Drugs, Mental Health and Domestic Abuse – one to one, workshops, wellbeing. • Counselling & Equine Therapy – provision for adults, families and children • Family support work – including Parent Support Programme, Parents Plus and Strengthening Families Programme. • Adult and community education and training – day & evening provision, targeting those out of education, unemployed and rurally isolated. • Community Development and Peer support groups – men, women, people with disabilities and their carers. • PR, advertising and outreaching in our community providing relevant information to individuals and groups.
