Down Syndrome Limerick is an associated branch of Down Syndrome Ireland and has been operating from its current location in Castletroy since 2008. Governance, fundraising and management of the centre is entirely voluntary. Fundraising goes towards the provision of services to families and maintenance of the facility. We provide a range of services such as support for new parents of babies with Down syndrome, a parent/toddler group, youth club, Saturday social club, access to a counsellor, Speech & Language and occupational therapy, supports to for parents and schools including training in Lámh & numicon, parenting courses and an adult education programme. All services are for our members.
